Who We Support

Goal: $90,000
Fund 200 Recovery Plans + 1-1 Support

We are working with Bright Harbor to help individuals navigate FEMA eligibility, insurance claims and identify trustworthy vendors, sponsoring 3 months of expert support (with 3 months being matched by the Kindness Hub LA!). Our partner, Kindness Hub LA, is vetting individuals and families to ensure this service is provided to those who need it most.

Kindness Hub LA

Kindness hub is a grassroots volunteer group comprised of over 3000+ volunteers who jumped to action during the LA Palisades fire uniting the community to support with immediate disaster relief for firefighters, direct family and community aid, and larger systemic solution implementation. As the needs of the community evolve, so will this circle's allocations evolve, in partnership with Kindness Hub. Our goals is to ensure that funds are directed to where they are the most effective as the recovery efforts unfold and evolve.

About Kindness Hub:

The Kindness Hub started out as a group of friends who dove in heads first to help their community and neighbors in need. On January 7th, as sparks turned into flames in the palisades mountains we would have no idea what would lay ahead of us. As the fire grew, so did our efforts to help. In record time, our team assembled boots on the ground network of volunteers to meet needs as they arose- building teams, deploying resources and creating systems aimed at supporting the city and its inhabitants we all love.

What started out as 10 friends has blossomed into over 3000+ volunteers and corporate donors. We are working with major corporate donors, GoogleX, Telegram and more to build tech tools alongside managing disbursing resources directly.

Our three main focuses can full under:
  • Immediate disaster aid: Boots on the ground
  • Family In Need support: allocating resources of all kinds to directly support families across LA as they navigate this catastrophic loss
  • Rebuild + Resilience: Exporting learnings and systems for other communities to use on going and supporting as LA rebuilds
